That shot is SO worthy of a spot on a cat calendar!

I love Chai so much.

lol.
if you can make him into a lap kitty, you can, but then you'd have to give him back! :)

so he's not a lap kitty?

no :(

he's a "decorative kitty".
he doesn't like much attention.

he'll be sweet to get food in his bowl, but if you try to hold him in your lap...forget it!

i'm not sure why he's like that.

he did lay on the couch between jason and i the other night...we were shocked. we just let him lay there as long as he would. he stayed there maybe 5 minutes...which was nice.

and he has begun to sleep at my side at night. and occasionally by my face.
but usually he'll sleep at my feet.

Felix was like that in the beginning. Then we had the whole trauma of Mike moving to Florida and me losing my mind. Ever since he's been my baby. But he has to be a lap kitty. Doesn't like just sitting in between, has to be on the lap regardless if there is a laptop there or book or knitting needles. Sometimes we have to fight him off. At night it's nuts. He jumps into bed and then crawls up us and stands on us and nags us about being in bed or about going to bed too late or something that is equally important to his little kitty life.

Chai is just gorgeous. He's so thick looking that I just want to rub my face in his belly.

heh.
now, he loves to have his belly rubbed and his head scratched!

he's really a sweet kitty...i just wish he were more affectionate.

chai is funny about bedtime. when it's getting late (how does he know?!) and if i get up to head to the kitchen or hallway, he'll chat to me like he's saying "bed time now?".

sometimes he'll even start going towards the bedroom and look back at me as if he's telling me to come on!

it's too cute.

he is a beautiful cat. he's shedding pretty bad right now, so your face would be covered in fur!

Felix does that too! He grumps at us if we're up past our bedtimes but he refuses to leave us alone. On the weekends he'll find a comfy spot downstairs to sleep on until I say, "Felix, time for bed." Then he'll come up with me.

Winni on the other hand has no idea what that means. She'll sit downstairs thinking we're all coming back. Just as I'm falling asleep she'll start her howling, "Where did you go?! Where are you guys?!" We call to her but she never comes up.

Crazy animals. What would we do without them?
