got up early and went to our parish's annual yard sale. it was huge. spent almost $60! eek!
when we came back home, the fil needed us to follow him to cullman so his mechanic friend could keep his car and check out something on it.
he would then need a ride back.
we left his friend's house and we ended up heading for the grotto for me to take pics.
as we were driving along the road that leads to the grotto, we saw "the Jesus guy" walking (leaving).
i told jason that i would love to take pics of him.
we kept driving, but shortly decided to leave.
on our way out, we spotted him along the road again.
jason asked him if he had a minute. he said yeah.
we pulled over and talked with him for a little while.
there is such a peacefulness about him. it was wonderful.
we asked if he needed a ride. he said he could use one. he wanted to go up to sacred heart church a few miles up the road. we took him and dropped him off there.
before he said bye, he asked us to pray for him. so, if you pray, would you say a prayer for him? :)

i didn't have much daylight time to get many pics, but we are going back today and will have all day to get more shots!
i love that living statue woman. i could watch her all day!
it's neat how if kids go up to her, she'll gently reach out to them. some of them would hold her hand, some of them would touch her dress.
some were scared. it was cute.

i found a men's vintage sleep shirt at a thrift store...got it for about 15 cents (they give you a wal*mart sized bag, you fill it up and you pay $3 for each bag) i had my bag(s) full! :)
i am going to make a pillow cover out of it for my indian (as in indonesian) themed bedroom i plan on doing.

i got sick all of a sudden yesterday :(
started out sneezing, then a sore throat, now achy. it came on really fast...i just hope it leaves just that way.
alex found some "clay" beside a small stream and brought back a cup full of it.
he sat out on the porch yesterday and made these things.
didn't know he made them til he was done and showed us!
look at the crucifix (the larger version, of course, so you can see it well)...he even did the nails.
we asked him if he'd like to have some bakeable clay and make things and sell them. he said yes.
thought about making an etsy shop for him :)

maybe one day he & i can have a booth set up somewhere and sell our goods :)
