did you know that there is a patron saint for photographers?
i didn't know til today.
it's st. veronica! how cool is that?

so, i think i'll name my new camera veronica :)

oh, and i think, for now, i will stick with the kit lens (the DA 18-55mm F3.3-5.6 AL).
i will look into other lenses and see what i'll really need.
i do want to get some accessories, though, like a reflector and maybe an extra flash. and maybe a better tripod, unless mine will do the trick.

and another "oh!"...my sister wants me to do her senior pictures this spring! :D
that will be fun! and that will give me hopefully enough time to play around and get used to my camera!

huh?
ok, i have a possibly dumb question. please forgive me..i am still learning stuffs!
but if i have a question, i'm gonna ask, cuz i wanna know, and i know some of you folks are awesome and will help me out! or at least, i hope so!
:)

lenses.

i know that the pentax is a k-mount and will take any k-mount lenses made.
what if i am at a thrift store or yard sale, etc and spot a lens. how do i know i could use it with my camera? i mean, does it say "k-mount" on the lens somewhere?

i also need to do some research to learn more about lenses. there are so many different types/brands! where to begin?!

i'm thinking of getting the body only & trying to get a better lens. i've read that the one that comes with it is so-so, but would prolly be better off getting a better one.
