for those who are visiting here from carol's blog, hello!
if you leave a comment, you'll need to come back (if you'd like) and check the comments section on that specific post of mine to see a reply from me, unless you have an lj account....then of course, it'd be emailed to you.
and for my friends here, carol is the beautiful woman whose wedding i'm shooting in november! can't wait!
and this is where the wedding will take place. :)
oh! yesterday while photographing appliance parts (my new job) for A-1, one of the guys that works there was asking me what else i do with my photography....and he mentioned maybe doing some of him & his girlfriend sometime.
that'd be fun. maybe he'll decide to do it :)

day 1 of panoply 08.
i didn't have much daylight time to get many pics, but we are going back today and will have all day to get more shots!
i love that living statue woman. i could watch her all day!
it's neat how if kids go up to her, she'll gently reach out to them. some of them would hold her hand, some of them would touch her dress.
some were scared. it was cute.
see larger versions, plus others, here.

TLC's "what not to wear"
i'd love to be on that show. for real. even as shy as i am. i'd do it.
everything in my closet is what not to wear. i'd glady let them have everything in my closet...including my beloved crocs & converse. *gasp*
i have no clue how to dress myself. i hate trying to go clothes shopping. it's depressing to me. it's hard to find things that look good when you're a size 16. bleh. well..i take that back. i see things all the time that i think would look good, but i just don't have the budget for it.
this is why i love thrift stores. jeans and tee's galore! that's what i'm most comfy in.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
have any of you seen the new show on TLC called "i can make you thin"? it's very interesting and i'm gonna try it.
i'm not an emotional eater. or at least i think i'm not. i don't eat when i'm angry, depressed, or anything like that. i just really love food. i love the textures, the flavors, the way it looks and maybe i'm emotional towards the food? lol
also, after i eat, i immediately crave sweets. anything with sugar.
anyway. i wish i didn't have to eat.
but here are dr. mckenna's 4 golden rules:
*eat when you're hungry
*eat what you want
*eat consciously
*when you think you're full, STOP.
he did an experiment with 6 people who went into the same restaurant 2 days in a row and ordered the same thing both times.
the first day, they just went in and got what they wanted and ate. they cleaned their plate.
the next day, they went in, ordered the same food as the day before, but this time, they were all blindfolded and relied on their stomaches to tell them when they'd had enough. they did not clean their plates this time.
since they were not able to see the food, they realized they were full before they ate everything.
very cool to me!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
i cleaned up our bedroom yesterday. it needed it badly. jason helped, too.
i got him to go through the bookshelf and get rid of stuff he didn't need/want anymore. i filled 8 kroger/walmart sized bags with books + i have a stack on the bar.
i got 3 more of those bags full of kid clothes.
i still need to go through our closet. i dread that, but it needs to be done.
tomorrow is my normal "cleaning" day and since the kids are out this week for spring break, they're gonna clean up their room. i'm getting them to get rid of as much as they can. since we'll hopefully be moving in the next several months, the less stuff we have to move, the better!
i also told them no video games, tv, computer, etc until the room is done. they both said ok. but we'll see how that goes tomorrow.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
the kids are petsitting. :)
we have some friends who went on vacation and got our kids to care for their kids' chinese dwarf hamsters. they're so freakin cute!
i'll get some photos of them :)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

not much action in the breezeway lately...
this is a crappy pic. i had to hurry, cuz maintenance was in & out alot.
they're cleaning out the empty apt behind us and the appliances are out in the breezeway, obviously.

went downtown to walk around, as planned.
it was COLD.
i was finally able to pull that long london fog trench out of the closet! :)
we found some neat alleyways.
most of the photos behind the cut are from them.
there are actually photos of me behind the cut!

( come with us... )
